For 12 years I helped someone everyday. I helped hundreds of people. I helped them by taking a problem off their hands, I did their dirty work, I freed them of a responsibility they committed to.
I rescued their dog.
The reality is I didn't help them. I helped an innocent animal.
And that animal helped me. Helped me to be the person I am today.
And then I helped someone else love that dog all over again. This time it would be forever.
I am forever a dog rescuer.
There really is no greater feeling in the world than seeing a dog come from poverty, abuse, shelter life, or simply neglect blossom into a beautiful creature. A creature with so much love to offer and a family with just as much to give back.
A family that can't thank you enough for bringing them together. For helping them finally become whole. For making their family complete.
And a dog, who will always remember you.
