Boy! This summer sure has flown by! With just under a month left until the kiddies head back to school (raise your hand if you're just a tad bit happy) and grilling season coming to an end, what better way to end it with a tasty treat from Johnsonville.
Ask anyone who knows me. My favorite summer food is Italian Sausage on the grill with mustard (sometimes with barbecue sauce) and hot giardiniera peppers. The more the better! Daddy Mayhem grills them just right!
If you are from Chicago, than you might give credit to the spicy pickled vegetable condiment, giardiniera for making the Chicago Hot Dog so famous and delicious. With that in mind, Johnsonville has introduced its Chicago Recipe Giardiniera to their new smoked-cooked sausage product line. Johnsonville will make this regional favorite available to select greater-Chicago grocery stores through Labor Day.
The Johnsonville Chicago Recipe Giardiniera is made with only premium cuts of pork, giardiniera pieces, and is gluten free. And unlike many other fully cooked sausages or hot dog product, it is made with no fillers. Which being a mom, I truly appreciate!
This sausage is delicious!!! It is loaded with pieces of Giardiniera and is full of juices and flavor! Daddy Mayhem and I grilled these bad boys up and what a tasty treat they were!! They are perfect for on the go barbecues without having to carry around a jar of our favorite giardiniera.
Wisconsin-based Johsonville Sausage is the No.1 national brand of brats, Italian sausages, smoked-cooked links, and fresh breakfast sausage links. For additional company information, the latest recipes, contests, and the Big Taste Grill tour schedule, please visit their website.
