The Abraham Lincoln Centre (ALC) recently hosted its Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner at the Fairmont Hotel. The event was hosted by NBC legendary anchor Art Norman. Abraham Lincoln Centre has been at the forefront of serving Chicago's neediest South Side families and communities.
From a single settlement house founded in 1905, the Abraham Lincoln Centre has grown to encompass 13 sites and offer an array of programs and services that help some 7,000 individuals and families each year.
The Abraham Lincoln Centre presented its 2011 Humanitarian Award to Golden Globe winning actress Regina Taylor with special a mention to Oscar Award winning actress Jennifer Hudson. Entertainment was provided by R&B sensation and Chicago’s own, Terisa Griffin.
