Hailing from Nap-town Indiana, Doe is far from new to the Midwest Music scene. Him and the group SLC, short for street life cartel been turning out classic underground albums since early in the new millennium.
What I personally can appreciate about this group is the originality of music they produce. They have done a good job keeping it Midwest with classic fast rhymes and smooth laid back beats while yet offering a dark shadowy gangster sound with quick fast tung twisting lyrics, something I appreciate being from Chicago.
After releasing 3 group albums, Realer Than Real, Life of the Street and Street Life Cartel (I consider it an 5 star album), & the mixtape Born IN Raised, Doe has jumped off the porch and released his first solo project Bending Blocks. This project is hosted by the one and only Gangsta Boogie. This mixtape offers us 24 tracks of hard hitting beats and rapid fire lyrics. There are some features that include the SLC, C-Money and Cee Ball. This album is for anybody who likes the sound of Midwest gangster music that we use to have without all the filtered garbage that is in the game now.
Don't forget to check out SLC on YouTube where you can find some of there best material.
One of my personal favorites of the Street Life Cartel album, "streets keep callin" is definitely worth checking out along with the mixtape and all the material they released since being in the rap game.
