Chicago's iconic North Avenue Beach will be the setting for the Jay Cutler Foundation Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament presented by Tommy Bahama. The event will be held on Friday July 18th from 11Am-5PM with all proceeds benefiting the Jay Cutler Foundation which supports children with Type 1 diabetes.
“There’s no better place in the country over the summer than North Avenue Beach, Chicago,” says Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler. “Our foundation is excited to bring this great charity beach volleyball event to the city before the Bears head to training camp. It’s great that we have been able to partner with Tommy Bahama to raise money to help kids affected by Type 1 diabetes. This money will help fund summer camps and college scholarships for kids and teens...”
Lunch will be provided by Subway, beer by MillerCoors and fresh juice and smoothies from Real Good Juice Co. Thirty teams of six to ten players will compete in the elimination format tournament. The winning team will be taken out to dinner in Chicago by Jay Cutler immediately following the tournament. The cost is $1,000 for a six to ten person team.
