On Saturday July 27th from7PM-12AM, party with the fishes and take a deeper dive into the Shedd Aquarium at Chicago’s premier young philanthropist event called BLU hosted by Shedd Aquarium’s Auxiliary Board. In celebration of the Wild Reef's 10 year anniversary, the event will support the Shedd's ongoing efforts including the continual high-quality care to 32,500 animals, rescue and rehabilitation to animals in urgent need, research to help conserve sensitive aquatic habitats around the globe, and more.
To begin the night, guests will indulge in gourmet tastings from more than 30 of Chicago's restaurants and beverage vendors including hot spots like Jellyfish, Sunda, Carnivale, Hubbard Inn, Avec, and more. This sets the stage as you step out on a dance floor that is simply one of a kind — the Sick Family Lakefront Terrace. Later, slip away to chocolate and other indulgences in the posh dessert lounge. Then end the night with a bang watching fireworks over Navy Pier all while enjoying musical sets from The Salt and the Sea, The Samples and one of Chicago’s hottest DJs. VIP guests will have an exclusive set with Bailiff.
Not only will you be partying for a cause, but the Shedd's big party has a small environmental footprint, with LED lighting, compostable table settings, recyclable signage and sustainable seafood selections informed by Shedd's Right Bite Program which promotes seafood choices that are good for you and the world's oceans.
