CHI-lebrities Support OfficeMax’s Green Tie Ball Hosted by Chicago Gateway Green

One of Chicago’s most celebrated charity events, the Green Tie Ball, returns this year with a whimsical “Alice in Wonderland” theme. Hosted by nonprofit organization Chicago Gateway Green, which is dedicated to greening and beautifying the regions expressways, gateways and communities, OfficeMax’s Green Tie Ball presented by A. Finkl & Sons will be held on Saturday September 15th at A. Finkl & Sons (2011 N. Southport).

The 21st annual event will be emceed by the co-hosts of ABC7’s Windy City LIVE! Valerie Warner and Ryan Chiaverini, and will feature a special deejay set by celebrity and rock artist Pete Wentz. OfficeMax’s Green Tie Ball is co-chaired by Corri McFadden, founder and owner of the luxury consignment service eDrop-Off and star of VH1’s House of Consignment and Donald J. Storino, principal and co-founder of the government affairs firm Fidelity Consulting Group, LLC.

Enjoy a VIP reception from 6:30-8:30PM while arriving on the Green Carpet and walking through a creative “Wonderland” tent to the cocktail reception. Adorned in their most marvelous black-tie attire, guests will be greeted by premium open bars, which will serve up specialty vodka cocktails courtesy of sponsor Real Russian Vodka and Goose Island beer. Hors d'oeuvres compliments of Rosebud Restaurants will be offered to guests during the VIP reception, and guests will also receive a VIP gift bag. In addition, an extravagant live auction will keep the crowd on their feet.

From 8:30PM-1AM, the gala commences, where guests can feast on samples from over sixty of Chicago’s exceptional restaurants
including Frog & Snail, Province, GT Fish & Oyster, Frontier, and Public House. Entertainment during the gala will include a special
performance by Red Moon Theatre, live music from Chicago cover bands Dr. Bombay and South of 80, as well as deejay sets by Pete Wentz and DJ Rock City. A separate casino tent sponsored by Rivers Casino, the ball’s exclusive gaming sponsor, will feature roulette, blackjack and craps, as well as a silent auction. Winnings from the casino games will go towards tickets for the raffle.

General admission ($135 pre-purchased, $175 at the door) and VIP tickets ($250, includes admittance to the VIP cocktail reception and gala), can be purchased at www.greentieball.eventbrite.com. The ball will also offer a limited number of VIP “Rabbit Hole” booths for $5,000. The booths will include a designated reserved table & lounge area for the duration of the evening, located in the heart of the action. Each booth package includes Ten (10) VIP tickets, bottle service, advance access to the charitable gaming & silent auction, VIP gift bags, and more.
