Compassion, Fashion & Cocktails Charity Runway Event

Immerse yourself in culinary delight and artistic flair and join nearly 500 affluent professionals, entrepreneurs, media, sports and entertainment personas for Compassion, Fashion and Cocktails, an evening honoring the arts while raising money for the non-profits The Musical Arts Institute, Bin Donated (as seen on ABC’s Secret Millionaire) and St. Vincent de Paul Center & Marillac Social Center on Thursday, August 23rd, 2012 from 6:30-10PM (after hour party until 12AM).

Focusing on a theme of pioneers in fashion, food and film, Frontier (1072 N. Milwaukee Avenue) will be transformed into a cutting edge fashion
runway scene as guests take part in pull raffles and door prizes to include a vacation to Mexico, signed sports memorabilia from teams like The Blackhawks, gift cards and more.

Attendees will savor a specially created menu of hors d'oeuvres from Frontier’s Chef Brian Jupiter. For a landscape of lavish libations, the event will house a cocktail reception from 6:30-8:30PM hosted by the Bombay Sapphire World Bazaar- a program highlighting Spain, Morocco, and Thailand’s unique botanicals with a signature cocktail based on each country. Mixologist Revae Schnieder (of Femme Du Coup) will be also be on hand to craft an enhanced drink menu.

During this celebration of food, professional musician and founder of The Musical Arts Institute, Michael Manson, will provide a jazz performance with three of his talented students until 8PM. This then leads into a Runway Fashion Show by Designer Eva Franco who will be showcasing her 2012 Fall Collection. 10 female models (mixture of professional and socialites) with two looks each will grace the catwalk with high fashion hairstyles created by the celebrity stylists of River North’s George the salon (HARPO/The Oprah Winfrey Show/The Rosie Show & The PGA) paired with Makeup By Aga (Donna Karen, Custo Barcelona, Betsey Johnson, AGGA B and Vera Wang).
