For the past 8 weeks, six contestants have been sewing and sweating to prove their designs are a cut above the rest for Kenmore's online and live studio reality series "So You Wanna Be a Designer". Filmed at Kenmore Live Studio (678 N. Wells Street), Thursday May 12th marks the finale where the grand prize winner will be announced as the final two contestants, Tonya Pierce & Jessica Davis, compete to take home $20,000 and a Kenmore Elite Laundry Pair.
Hosted by Debbie Jagel, the last episode welcomes three big fashion names to critique the fashions & crown the winner. Elda De La Rosa, Chicago fashion designer whose gowns were featured at the 2010 Academy Awards Fashion Show, Chicago native and NBA Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Simmons, who recently launched the urban sneaker line SuccezZ, and designer Raul Penaranda who has been included at top fashion houses such as Oscar de la Renta, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger, will all be on hand for this life changing announcement.
Can't make it down to Kenmore Live Studio this Thursday at 7PM? You can watch the live broadcast via Kenmore's Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/Kenmore) and even cast your online vote from 7-7:50 PM CT.
Good luck Tonya & Jessica!
