The Chicago Bulls could not have asked for a better way to start 2012. For their home-opener, Chicago dismantled the Memphis Grizzlies and won by a whooping score of 104-64.
The defense was impeccable, forcing the Grizzlies to only make 26 of their 84 attempts and make 16 turnovers through out the game.
Carlos Boozer had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Ronnie Brewer also scored 17 points, he started instead of Richard Hamilton who was out with a sore left groin. Derrick Rose had 16 points and was able to dish six assists and make 2 blocks.
The best part of the blow-out --besides Derrick, Boozer and Joakim Noah getting some much needed rest--was that we actually got to see White Mamba play! That's right folks, Brian Scalabrine played for six sweet but short minutes.
It's safe to say that Scalabrine entrance into the game, made both the United Center and the Internet implode. Fans who where in the arena were chanting his name even before he entered and soon after he became a trending topic on twitter.
The Bulls now hold a record of 4-1 and a three win-streak. Their next opponents are the Atlanta Hawks who are 3-1, losing their most recent game.
