I love blogging about food on Chewables. It's an ideal combination of some of my favorite things: food, eating out, being healthy, and writing. Having my own blog has also introduced me to the robust world that is the blogosphere, and over the past year and a half of blogging, I've become a bit of an inter-webs junkie. I use the business blogs for work; the credit card points blogs for traveling; and alternative news blogs for a new perspective. I've found myself particularly
obsessed enthralled, however, with the home, design, DYI, photography, and fashion blogs. There is so much well-written and thoughtful content out there, to the point where I can no longer imagine my life without a nightly perusal through Google Reader (I know, I know, must...disconnect...). And I happily realized, despite my previous belief that law school had sucked it out of me, that my creative abilities expand well beyond the kitchen. I've gotten into photography. I am having a blast decorating our new-ish condo. I've started gardening. (Note: I still cannot iron to save my life...and I'm okay with that).
As a blogger, I'm obviously an
oversharer, so it should come as no surprise that I want to write about these topics, too. I've been able to do a little by connecting them to Chewables: our kitchen tiling (here), our booze herb garden (here), a travel category that focuses on food. But I want to do more. So today I've decided to launch a new category called Chewables Home. Unlike the other, more food and restaurant focused categories on Chewables (which will not go away...I promise), I'm going to leave Chewables Home, at least for now, largely undefined. It's just my own selfish way to write about some non-food related topics. I hope you enjoy. And, as always, if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear from you!
