I do not live in the 2nd Congressional District, so I can't tell you how the people there feel. But I can tell you from the outside looking in, I wonder if the right person is being treated for a mental disorder.
He went on medical leave in June and is currently being treated for bipolar disorder at the Mayo Clinic. He didn't campaign, or really even appear in public. If that wasn't enough, he's in the middle of a House Ethics Committee investigation for his ties with imprisoned Rod Blagojevich.
What am I missing? I could give you details of his illness and the accusations that will most likely result with him as a defendant in a long, expensive court battle, but why would I need to do that? Aren't those two things without extensive details enough?
I'm hoping I could hear from someone in the 2nd district and that they can enlighten me, because I just don't get it.
Imagine how Brian Woodworth, an attorney and university professor feels. He lost handedly to the incumbent that hasn't been representing anyone for months.
