10 Unique things to do this weekend: Chicago Suburbs

The weather looks pretty good for the weekend, and if you don't want to fight the crowds in the city for the various things to do such as Fiesta del Sol, Wicker Park Fest or Lincoln Park Arts and Music Fest.  Then check out the suburbs for some really fun and unique things to participate in... 

CHA Craft Supershow
July 30-31 the CHA Craft Supershow will be at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. There will be vendors, workshops, kids activities and plenty of demonstrations.
Mt. Prospect Blues Mobile Cruise Night
Saturday, July 31st, head out to an old fashioned cruise night and check out some classic cars. It's located in downtown Mt. Prospect at the Metra Commuter Lot. It will be 'Hound Dog' night, so bring out your dog and enjoy the display from local car buffs.
SkyDive Chicago Summerfest
This sky diving summerfest is more than just another festival. This is a big sleepover! Registration fees: Jumpers $50 for the event, or $25 for the day. Adult Non-Jumpers $30 for the event and $25 for the day. The fee includes live entertainment,world class load organizers, tent camping and full access to the facilities of Skydive. It's located at 3215 East 1969th Road, Ottawa.
St. Zachary Augustfest
This fest is found on the grounds of St. Zachary Church. There is a raffle, carnival rides, car show, children's entertainment, casino and bingo. Admission is $3, but you can get in for free on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00. There are also great bands every night.
Chicago Baby and Toddler Expo
Find maternity, baby and toddler products and services at the expo this weekend. The Baby and Toddler Expo will be held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center at 1551 North Thoreau Drive. Admission is $10, grandparents half price and kids under 6 are free.

Lake County Fair
Grayslake is host to the Lake County Fair through Sunday. It's at the corner of Peterson and Midlothian Roads. They'll have carnival rides, an auction, live music, dance contests, a demolition derby, livestock, talent contests, among other exciting events all day, every day. Admission is $10 for general admission; $5 for children 5-12.
Community Days Weekend at DuPage Airport
The DuPage Airport will host the "Wings of Freedom Tour" and have a B-17 and B-24 WWII Bombers and a P-51 Mustang. There are tours and flights every morning and afternoon, starting Friday and ending Monday. It's $12 for Adults and $6 for Children 12 and younger.
Elmhurst Green Fest
On Saturday from 10:00 - 3:00 you can go to a festival that is all about being green! Wilder Park in Elmhurst will have activities, sports, live folk music, Eco-friendly products & services as well as door prizes and giveaways.
Walking with Dinosaurs
The dinosaurs are coming to Allstate Arena this weekend. This is a production that combines special effects, excitement and education. Tickets range from $19.50 - $69.50.
Anonapalooza
Entertainment will begin Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 - 7:00 at Good Templar Park, 528 Eastside Drive, Geneva. Admission is $5. There will be a number of stages featuring different music. They will also have a Pirate Stage with open mic where a sound system and stage. This is a charity event with most of the proceeds going to Serenity House, a counseling, treatment and living facility for those who struggle with addiction. There's also tents for kids to be entertained by magicians, learn guitar, try out musical instruments and participate in art activities.
