Your 2019 71 win White Sox!

Before we get started, let me provide you with a harsh reminder.

Rick Hahn traded for James Shields in 2016.  At the time, Shields was 2-7 with a 4.28 ERA.  He had pitched 67.1 innings and allowed 69 hits, 27 walks, 9 home runs, and struck out 57.  He went on to have these 2 1/2 seasons with the White Sox:

2016:  4-12, 6.77 ERA, 114.1 innings pitched, 139 hits allowed, 55 walks, 31 home runs, and struck out 78

2017:  5-7, 5.23 ERA, 117 innings pitched, 116 hits allowed, 53 walks, 27 home runs, and struck out 103

2018:  7-16, 4.53 ERA, 204.2 innings pitched, 190 hits allowed, 78 walks, 34 home runs, and struck out 154

Hahn and the Sox agreed to take on 27 million dollars of Shields's contract for this time frame.  However, the cherry on top is this, and you should remember this every time Hahn speaks or initiates a transaction.  Hahn traded the current #1 prospect in all of Major League Baseball for James Shields.  Fernando Tatis Jr. will be the starting shortstop for the San Diego Padres at 20 years old.

Now, on with the show.

Here are your numbers for the 71-91 White Sox, with a few glimmers of hope in the form of prospects turned major leaguers by the end of the 2019 season.
