ABOUT THE BLOG:
Chain Links is a concept dedicated to making the world a better place...one small random act of kindness at a time. It is about putting words into action and paying it forward without expecting anything in return. By doing a favor for someone else, we acquire the exciting ability to make a positive impact on another life.
We are all another link in the chain of kindness. It only takes one selfless act to start a movement. Imagine the outcome if we were to all take the time for one simple act of generosity every day. If those actions are passed along down the chain, we will eventually impact hundreds of thousands of people!
The process is simple: If you choose to 'pay it forward,' I ask that you email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Once a day, I will be posting a random act of kindness anonymously to my blog. We will then be able to see how long these chains of kindness last, as well as gain ideas of what random acts of generosity we would like to do.
Some people will say this idea sounds crazy... But I say it is a vision that is not only attainable, but also crucial in striving to make the world a better place.
According to Winston Churchill:
"We make a living by what we get. But we make a life out of what we give."
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
I am your typical 27 year old girl, struggling to find my purpose in this world. I stress out about the little things, I can be selfish, and am generally oblivious to my surroundings. But as of recently, my eyes have been opened to the insurmountable needs of this world. I decided to stop making every excuse in the book, and finally start doing something about the matters I despise most. This blog's sole purpose is to spread kindness, instill hope, and inspire others to "pay it forward." I firmly believe one person can make a monumental impact in this world. We just need to take the first step.
I love to laugh, read, have coffee dates with my girlfriends, volunteer in the community, write, shop, meet new people, scrapbook, watch college football, snowboard, wakeboard, and hike. Oh, and sleep. I love my sleep.
But most of all, I love Jesus, my amazing family, and friends more than anything in this world.
