If you're a fan of SNL, then you're really gonna love this! The Museum of Broadcast Communications (360 N. State), in collaboration with "Saturday Night Live", will host an opening night benefit for its latest exhibition, "Saturday Night LIVE: The Experience" on Friday, October 20.
Over 500 artifacts, including costumes, original sets, props and scripts will be on display in the 12,000 sq. ft. space, designed to chronicle the history of NBC's iconic franchise while taking visitors through its notoriously hectic weekly schedule.
The opening night benefit will help fund the Museum as well as the Murray Brothers Foundation (yes, those brothers!) to support first responders.
The evening will include access to the exhibit, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, entertainment (both comedy and music) and appearances by special guests, including, rumor has it, some former SNL stars.
The event is presented by Conagra Brands in collaboration with Broadway Video Enterprises, Universal Brand Development and Premier Exhibitions with major support from Larry Wert, Tribune media exec, who is now the Museum's board chair! (Thanks Larry!)
