The DuSable Museum hosts family-friendly celebration in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

On Monday, January 16, the DuSable Museum will host a day of family-friendly fun to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

"Reaching Back, Moving Forward" will begin at 10 am until 5 pm with the celebration featuring a poetic salute to MLK, storytelling, youth and family "Make & Take" art project workshops, films dedicated to King's legacy, live broadcasts by WVON's Cliff Kelly and so much more.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to send President Obama a very special "thank you" by signing a banner that will be presented to the Obama Foundation.

The program is co-presented by the Chicago Humanities Festival, DuSable Museum and the Chicago Urban League.
