Asleep with the Fishes: Shedd Aquarium's kid-friendly sleepover party

The Shedd Aquarium is offering a unique opportunity geared towards families with kids aged 5 to 12.  "Asleep with the Fishes Overnight" is a one-of-a-kind program that begins Friday, January 27, and lets kids experience the Shedd after springovernights_400x250hours and spend the night exploring the aquarium. The evening will include a scavenger hunt, an aquatic presentation and a viewing of the Amphibians exhibit. Stay the night to sleep next to the fishes in the Waters of the World galleries or head home after the evening activities have wrapped.

All of the exhibits, including the Abbott Oceanarium, Wild Reef, Waters of the World and Amazon Rising, will be open for specific amounts of time during the event. Some exhibits will close for animal care and safety during the event and these times will be marked on an itinerary guests will receive upon checking in. Attendees have the option of staying the following day, after the overnight, to view the exhibits if they would like to spend more time with the animals.
