Victoria's Secret Model Elsa Hosk: My interview with an Angel

Glamorous Swedish born model Elsa Hosk visited Chicago on December 10, 2013, to host a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show viewing party in her role as VS PINK Ambassador. A line of excited fans, who had been waiting for hours, snaked through two floors at Water Tower place where the party was being held outside the store on the 9th floor.

The area was set up to resemble a slumber party with over-sized VS pillows, smiley faced balloons (in a nod to her VS Show costume that year) and blankets scattering the floor as well as plenty of folding chairs for her PINK Nation fans. I was invited to interview her and cover the event in my role as host of Candid Candace TV.  I asked her what it was like to be an Angel, what sort of regimen is required and what advice she would give to newbies. Listen to the interview below!

Elsa began modeling in her native Sweden at age 14 after her dad submitted photos to various modeling agencies. Her first love, however, was basketball, the sport she planned on pursuing after graduation. And although she ultimately abandoned this idea, she credits the discipline involved with keeping her in shape and fit.  And at 5' 91/2" and 125 pounds, I would say this routine definitely worked for her.

She's one popular model with 1.9 million Instagram followers (@HoskElsa) She's also philanthropic, being involved with FAIR Girls, an anti-human trafficking organization.

When I interviewed her, she couldn't have been more charming or forthcoming and it was thrilling to watch her strut her stuff in her fifth year as an Angel in the show last night! Congrats and good luck Elsa!
