Looking for something spooky to do for Halloween? My top Halloween party picks are the All Hallow's Eve Affair at the Boarding House and Boo: A Halloween Ball at the Chicago History Museum. Both of these events will offer great fun at reasonable prices for wonderful causes. Read on....
On Saturday, November 2nd, Chicago's favorite wine-driven destination, The Boarding House, will host an All Hallow's Eve Affair to benefit Imerman Angels whose mission is to provide personalized connections that enable one-on-one support among cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers. These kinds of relationships give a fighter the chance to ask personal questions and get support from someone who is uniquely familiar with their experience. The service is free and helps anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any cancer stage level, at any age, living anywhere in the world. This is such a great organization, founded by Jonny Imerman, who will also be on hand to judge the costume contest this night.
From 6:30 to 10 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy a bar package featuring a selection of spooky cocktails and bewitching wines and beers on the haunted first floor and subterranean cellar of 720 N. Wells. The evening's festivities will also include complimentary appetizers and decked-out décor. Tickets to the event are only $85 per person, and available here or by calling (312) 280-0720. Happy Hallowine!
"Boo: A Halloween Ball" will be at the Chicago History Museum (1601 N. Clark St.) on Thursday, October 31, from 7-11 pm. There will be terrifying tales told by Steppenwolf's Jessica Thebus and music that will wake the dead by DJ Nix with devilishly delicious craft cocktails. Come dressed to impress in your most spooktacular costumes for an event so good, it's to die for! (For tickets, $40 for members and $50 for general admission, and more info, click here).
Hope to see you at one or both of these boo-tiful parties!
