It was a fun-filled celebration of exotic cars, fabulous fashion and fine food for the Primo Classico Br'Italia recently at Lake Forest Sports Cars. Co-chaired by Diane and Quintin Primo and benefitting the Primo Center for Women & Children, the event included a hot fashion show that presented looks by Vivienne Westwood, Monique L'Huillier, Blumarine and Trussardi plus some of the most expensive cars in the world (including a $2 mil Maserati!). The event also honored award winning actress/director Phylicia Rashad. Maurice Hennessey, an 8th generation member of the famed cognac house and an event sponsor, was also an honorary guest.
Upon entering the grounds, a mini Trevi Fountain offered guests great photo opportunities and added to the flavor of the theme. A paparazzi-packed Red Carpet added to the excitement as the chic attendees made their way into the dealership that was lined with food stations celebrating the cultures of Britain and Italy. Delicious tastings from Bella Via Ristorante, Pelago, Prosecco, The Florentine, Tesori, Tocco, Travelle, Volare Ristorante and Blue Plate Catering tempted everyone's taste buds.
An exciting live auction offered an exotic trip to Muscat, Oman on Qatar Airways; a stay at the Hennessy ancestral home in France; two yacht cruises including one aboard the Susanna Bella in Naples; a NY trip with Spiderman tickets; a Bitter End Yacht Club vacation stay; dinner for ten courtesy of Chef Jean Tippenhauer; a custom suit from Ozwald Boateng; and an Aston Martin!! Auctioneer Greg Dellinger, aka G-Man, whipped the crowd into a frenzy and is as entertaining as he is a brilliant fundraiser.
Guests mixed and mingled amid the exotic cars and raised more than $400K for the Primo Center for Women and Children which is an interim and supportive housing program that provides a safe, healthy and positive environment for homeless women and their children.
The following photos by Mila Samokina tell the story. :-)
