NBC Universal, in a stroke of sheer genius, has nabbed popular entertainer Steve Harvey for his own show, “The Steve Harvey Show,” premiering on September 4th. The Launch Party at the Hard Rock Café on August 22nd was by-invite-only and featured a live performance by Jeffrey Osbourne, who charmed the crowd with his chart-topping solo “You Should be Mine (the Woo Woo Song).”
Larry Wert, NBC’s VP and General Manager, thanked the crowd and introduced Harvey, who was accompanied by his gorgeous wife Marjorie. “I’m blessed to be here and happy to see a lot of my friends from WGCI where I started, like Abe Thompson. This is fate, I should really be installing spark plugs!” joked Harvey.
I can’t wait to see this hard working industry giant whose past successes include advice books, a radio show, a movie, a game show hosting gig, numerous comedy appearances, two fashion lines, a dating website, a charitable foundation, a production company, online hair and wig stores, a social media branding business and now his own talk show! Whew!
Steve will be relocating to Chicago with his beautiful wife and two children, ages 15 and 16.
Welcome to Chicago Harveys!!!!
