The second annual Red Dress Party took place recently at the Joffrey Ballet Studios (the Joffrey Tower) with more than 200 people donning their most fashionable and eye-popping red attire. The highlight of the evening was a memorable musical performance by The Voice finalist Beverly McClellan. An impromptu duet with Beverly and event chair Kyler Powell took place as they harmonized to CeeLo's 'F_ck You.'
Ginger Zee (Good Morning America meteorologist) and actor/singer Christian Carabias were the hosts for the event which began with a Red Carpet reception hosted by Chicago's own, Miss Lucy Foozie.
Congratulations to Kyler, along with his dedicated committee that included Adiat Baker, Katie Cahnmann, Kyle Hillman, Terrence Chappell, Marco Foster, Julianne Glatz, Cece Gonzales, Melinda Joseph, Haley Lertola, Jerry Nunn, Ramsey Jay Prince, Arabel Alva Rosales, Mark Roscoe and Hilary Schwartz.
The Red Dress Party is a national event dedicated to creating awareness and visibility for the HIV/AIDS movement and raising funds for organizations that provide vital community services through the Equality Project.
