The second annual "Pointe of Departure" was presented by the Junior Auxiliary Board of The Joffrey Ballet on Thursday, January 26th. A signature of this event is finding hot new venues and this year was no exception. Venue Six10 at the Spertus Institute offered a great atmosphere for this evening where stage and canvas collided. More than 430 guests attended this event that included artwork from contemporary to classic, all donated to benefit The Joffrey Ballet, with one piece selling for $2500! Co-chairs Diane Crary and Andrew Caravella planned a night to remember that raised over $33,000. DJ Sadie Woods kept the crowd fueled for fun along with delicious food catered by Wolfgang Puck. Stay tuned for next year’s event! Every year is bigger than the last for this creative Joffrey Junior Board! (Fab fotos by Caitlin Saville Collins and Mila Samokhina).
