The Grey Goose Chicago Beach Polo World Cup celebrated its inaugural event with some of the best parties I've attended in a long, long time! The festivities began on Thursday night with a polo clinic at Noble Horse Theater. Friday night featured a press party at the Crimson Lounge at the Hotel Sax. And on Saturday and Sunday, eight teams of international men and women players competed as crowds of fashionistas packed the VIP Pavilion. DJ Geronimo played hotter music than St. Tropez in season and presenting sponsor, Grey Goose, kept the guests fueled for fun. Polo Life President, Bruce Orosz, brought this event to Chicago from his first endeavor in Miami Beach, which was also a huge success. The event included a men's and women's fall fashion show presented by Cityblue Apparel & Denim, delicious and plentiful food from Fogo de Chao and Union Sushi & BBQ, a Gascon wine tent, photo booths, an Amstel beer tent, pop-up shops, electric violinists and so much more. Energized guests continued on to the final after-party, again, at the Crimson Lounge. I can't wait to go again next year! Chukkers and mallets and ponies, oh MY!
A portion of the proceeds benefitted the "100 Club of Chicago" which provides support and assistance to the families of fallen police officers and firefighters in Cook County. (Additional photos provided by Helena Rafayen and Caitlin Collins).
