NoMI's re-opening was a much anticipated event, not only for fans of the restaurant and terrace but for tenants in the building, too. The 7th floor had been closed for 4 months for a massive renovation but it was well worth the wait as 500 invitees discovered at the Re-Opening Party recently. Gone are the formal white tablecloths and, in their place, are cool wenge wood and leather tables. The Chihuly glass sculptures have been moved to the dining/meeting room off to the side and have been replaced with a modern sculpture entitled "Wintry Branches". The changes include every part of the 7th floor; NoMI Kitchen, Lounge, Spa and Garden, which now features a 30' long teak bar and makes the spaces more user friendly instead of special occasion only. Chef Ryan LaRoche continues his tradition of a menu rooted in simple, high quality flavors and ingredient-driven dishes as he highlights the best products from farmers, cheese makers, ranchers, bakers and artisans from the surrounding region. Park Hyatt's darling PR director, Lynne Bredfeldt, is beaming like a new mom! Welcome back NoMI! We've missed you!
