The 2nd annual Glamorama Launch Party had guests jumping for joy for many reasons...for one, this party benefitted Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana and then there was the Action Booth which was one of the many highlights of this party heralding the main event, Macy's Passport Presents Glamorama's "Artrageous" fashion show and after-party, set for Friday, August 12th, at the Chicago Theatre. The popular Chicago band, BLAH BLAH BLAH, played their hearts out for this crowd of 300 music and fashion loving friends. They even premiered their first music video which featured the song "Why Am I the Only One Laughing?" from their upcoming EP, "Thank You Thank You". (Guess who had a cameo?) There were also exuberant performances by the Hip Hop ConnXion Dancers, gorgeous designs from Elda de la Rosa and Horacio Nieto, custom portraits by Rosemary Fanti, fab food from Blue Plate Catering, candy counters from Hershey's and Anna's Custom Sweets & Treats and great tunes by DJ E-SIX Crossfader King.
Special thanks to presenting sponsor Aon Hewitt (Tyronne Stoudemire), Lisa Newman (Creative One Consulting), Event Creative, CS Magazine, Ivan Carlson and Phillips Flowers, among others, who helped to make this event such a success! It was an honor for me to host this second annual event along with a dynamic Host Committee! Thank you ALL!
