The Joffrey Ballet's Spring Gala Raises $1,300,000 (PICS!)

To quote a line from "Chorus Line", 'everything IS beautiful at the ballet', especially when it's The Joffrey Ballet!  Its recent Spring Gala at the historic Palmer House was as beautiful as it gets.  Over 1000 guests came dressed in their best for this annual high-profile black tie Gala which raised $1,300,000.

Event co-chairs Wendy Chronister and Courtney Thompson worked tirelessly for almost a year to plan the Joffrey's biggest fundraiser and it showed in every detail. The pale elegant flowers, the orchestra (Rich Daniels and the City Lights), the menu, the amazing live auction prize (courtesy of Aman Resorts) to Bhutan and Phuket, which raised $30K and the after-party, were all planned to perfection.

And speaking of perfection, the performance preceding the Gala at the Auditorium Theatre gave the crowd a delicious sneak peek of the Rising Stars season, which began on May 4th and runs until May 15th.  The dancers break your heart every time you see them with their amazing grace, style and perfectionism.  Yes, everything really is beautiful at the ballet.....The Joffrey Ballet.
