The advance screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 benefitted Urban Prep and was the first show before the sold-out midnight show tonight for this long anticipated film. And I will tell you now, this movie is not for the little ones. The earlier ones yes, but now this series has gotten much darker and scarier....in some parts even scary for me! But I am a dyed-in-the-wool fan and loved each and every part of this movie....especially the sweet dance scene between Harry and Hermione...but I get ahead of myself. Almost even better than the film was the crowd scene waiting to get in!
I saw a beyond-believable Professor Snape, lots of Griffindor students, Lord Voldemort with his snake, a girl dressed as the Golden Snitch and even two lovable Death Eaters! The line for the midnight show wrapped around the entire lobbly and they lined up early. By the time we left, people were sitting on the floor studying, in Harry Caray's dining, taking photos of each other and just waiting with increasing anticipation for one of my favorite film subjects of all time. It was an even better experience shared with fellow fans. There was someone in the crowd offering Harry Potter Fan Trips which started at $899 beginning July 2011 which included trips to London/Oxford/Scotland. These "5 star deluxe trips" also included a gala banquet at Edinburgh Castle or Alnwick Castle, a vintage steam train excursion, British storytellers, filming locations and more. I loved this movie and am so very sad that the next one will be the last....or will it? With J.K. Rowling you just never know......keep your wands at the ready...Harry needs your help now more than EVER! (www.UrbanPrep.org)
