The 4th Annual Latino Fashion Week culminated with an exciting Fashion Ball at Mercedes-Benz of Chicago and showcased designs by Lazaro Perez, Jaer Caban, Carlos Campos, John Dunn, Jose Jhan, Magaly Tiburcio, Alexandre Chandona, Hector MonArrez and Gutierrez-Marcano among others. There were also amazing dresses displayed made out of construction textures by some of the top architecture and engineering firms in the city.
Celebrity guests included gorgeous Patricia de Leon (actress-model), Carlos Anaya (multimedia producer), Leo Passage (Pivot Point founder) and handsome Paulo Quevedo (actor-model). There was also a performance by Salsa recording artist, Brian Michaels as well as post-reception dancing to hot mixes by DJ Lugo.
Latino Fashion Week, co-produced by Arabel Alva Rosales and Cesar Rolon, is the only week-long event in the United States dedicated to Latino fashion. In addition to glamorous fashion shows and celebrity appearances, other events included a student competition, a documentary of the infamous Celia Cruz, two days of fun-filled shopping, a star studded day dedicated to teens and ending with the Fashion Ball. The benefactor for Latino Fashion week was Urban Initiatives, an organization that runs an innovative sports program for underserved neighborhoods in Chicago.
