Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab recently hosted a private VIP party to kick-off the launch of the much-anticipated "Hearts-a-Bluhm" campaign, sponsored by Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, which will raise awareness for heart health.  A public display of oversized acrylic hearts will "bloom" along Michigan Avenue during February's National Heart Month. Each heart will carry a heart health education tip and will be creatively embellished by Columbia College students, staff, faculty and alumni.  Proceeds from the sale of the hearts will benefit cardiovascular programs at Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute as well as art scholarships at Columbia College Chicago.

The who's who of Chicago was spotted mixing and mingling including Democratic Senate hopeful Alexi Giannoulias (who ordered up a pound and a half of Alaskan King crab legs to go!), Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises founder Rich Melman, Chilli Pepper, NBC's Larry Wert, Allison Rosati and Rob Stafford among many others.

"Women With Heart" honorees were acknowledged by Hearts-a-Bloom co-creators Julee White of Testarossa Entertainment and Kathleen Henson of Henson Consulting for their incredible achievements and heartfelt life stories including: Carrie Birkel, Janet Wood Diederichs, Chaz Ebert, Nancy Glick, Sonya Jackson, Kristina McGrath (represented by her twin sister Korinna Isselhardt), Carol "Mickey" Norton, Andrea Schwartz, Laura Schwartz, Brenda Sexton and moi!

Also, seen on the scene this night were Hollywood funnyman and Chicago native Vince Vaughn and wife Kyla Weber on a double date with Chicago Bears tight end Greg Olsen and wife Kara.  Dining in the private space upstairs was a room full of our very own Chicago Bears, led by Brian Urlacher.

Oh, what a night!
