Miss Continental Pageant 2010--Glamour Galore!

Miss Continental Pageant 2010 finalists with founder Jim Flint.

Labor Day is always exciting because it heralds the finals of the Miss Continental Pageant, which is the largest and best female impersonator contest in the world!  This year, the Pageant celebrated its 30th anniversary in grand style with 34 talented contestants competing for the crown (a BIG crown!)....In the end, only one glam "gal" took home the title, Mokha Montrese, who had also won the Miss Heart of America Continental contest previously.

Each show features a talent, swimsuit, evening gown and, of course, a pageant must-have, the "question" segment.  The gowns were spectacular with Chili Pepper being a stand-out in her custom designed Bob Mackie original.  Her fab look and new, short cropped blond hair brought the sellout crowd to their feet in appreciation of her own 30th anniversary in the pageant.  She was the very first winner in 1980 and looks better now than she did then!

The talent section brings the most interest as each contestant puts on a mini-Broadway production complete with elaborate staging, background dancers and singers plus amazing costuming.  The entire evening puts you on sensory overload.  (The night before, the Mr. Continental Pageant was held.)

Congrats to owner/founder Jim Flint and his team of dedicated staffers including Tim Gideon, Ginger Grant, emcee Nikki Adams, Dan Neniskis and Cai Holyon for another fantastic pageant!  I am already planning my outfit for NEXT year!!!!!
