The sweetest place to be last week was at the World of Chocolate at the Chicago Hilton! Benefitting the Aids Foundation of Chicago, this event attracted over 1,500 chocolate lovers and raised over $200,000. 28 of the city's finest restaurants, hotels, caterers and chocolatiers competed in five categories. The Peninsula walked away with three top prizes: the Locoa Cocoa Award for most creative use of chocolate, the Sweetbooth Award for best presentation as well as the People's Choice Award. Terry's Toffee won the Hot Chocolate Award for overall tastiest treat and the University Club won the Chocoholic's Dream Award for most visually enticing dish. Check out these fun pics and I hope you all put this fun and worthy event on your calendars for next December! Sweet Dreams! www.aidschicago.org (Extra pics by Caitlin Saville and Steve Starr)
