Victoria's Secret Angels Mingle with Sports Stars at VIP Opening Party

I'm not sure I've ever seen so much hoopla over a store opening! But then this was no ordinary store--it was Victoria's Secret WITH Angels too! All along Michigan Avenue for the past few weeks, there have been lucite cases holding a variety of Angel wings. You can step up on a little pedestal and see how you look as an Angel. But last night, the REAL Victoria's Secret Angels appeared for this all-exciting store opening. They even had a pink "red" carpet for celebs to walk in front of the bank of photographers. Some of the photogs were celebs in thier own right like Kelli Zink, Melissa and Henrique Kerch from Factio, Steve Starr, Jennifer Wirth and Sally Shorr to name a few. Even I had a real Hollywood moment when they asked me to walk the "pink" carpet!! It was so exciting! Security was everywhere.....

It was a smaller crowd inside than I expected but it was nice not to be in a madhouse. The party was by invitation only and the invites were non-transferable. I know for events like these the PR people always try to have some athletes come--but in this case, I don't believe they had to do much arm-twisting. Happily mingling with fans was star Bear linebacker Lance Briggs, Bull Taj Gibson ( with his brother Floyd) and Bulls superstar Derrick Rose.

Other lucky guests seen sipping on Limelight Catering's signature drink of the night, the Magnificent Mile Martini, were Billy Dec, Jerry Kleiner, Marisa Molinaro, Steve Traxler, Lee Ellison, Rebecca and Charlie Besser, Trevian Kutti, Rich Foreside, Tonya Damason and Diane McGrath, Cat and Joe D'Orio, Kimberly Murray, Chris Norman, Chad and Adam Kramer, Brooks Rogalski, Elizavetta Efimova, Bracken Zimmerman, Paul Lee, Aeron Lancero, Schae Lewis, Jennifer Lane, Richard Roeper, John Walcher,Lou Canellis, Jessica Girdwain and Alec and Jeanette Ross among others.
