It's official - Bulls own the Raptors

It's official - Bulls own the Raptors
While I haven’t been able to confirm whether it’s a cash deal or if they took out a mortgage, the Bulls now officially own the Toronto Raptors. Playing without Pau Gasol (knee), Mike Dunleavy (stomach virus) and Derrick Rose (who keeps track after all these years), the Bulls were still able to go north of... Read more »

NBA Trade Deadline: Bulls shopping Gasol, Gibson

NBA Trade Deadline: Bulls shopping Gasol, Gibson
The NBA trade deadline is now less than 24 hours away, and while most Bulls fans seem to expect GarPax to pull off a deal where they bring back three times the value of what they send out, there are at least a few believable rumors out there. According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bulls are... Read more »

Kirk Hinrich single-handedly delivers Mavs a 132-129 2 OT win over Bulls
Kirk Hinrich is a veteran. Kirk Hinrich should know better. Kirk Hinrich made every Bulls fan who can’t stand his game look like a genius tonight. The Bulls led the Mavericks 108-105 with 4.2 seconds left in regulation after Pau Gasol hit a pair of free throws. The Mavs were out of time outs, so... Read more »

Jimmy Butler leads Bulls to blowout win over Nets, 4-3 Circus Trip
Jimmy Butler had 26 points, Pau Gasol had 25 points and 13 rebounds, and Nikola Mirotic continued to turn Taj Gibson into trade bait as the Bulls finished up this year’s Circus Trip with a fairly easy 102-84 win over the Nets in Brooklyn on Sunday. Jimmy Butler, All-Star Jimmy Butler continued to move into... Read more »

Thibs watches officials hand Kings a win over Bulls

Thibs watches officials hand Kings a win over Bulls
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau must be a closet Sacramento fan, because he stood there and let the officials hand the Kings a victory over the Bulls Thursday night. At least Joakim Noah showed that he has a pair, picking up a well-deserved technical after getting called for his complete bullshit fifth foul on a Demarcus... Read more »

Derrick Rose return sparks Bulls win over Pistons

Derrick Rose return sparks Bulls win over Pistons
Derrick Rose was back in the starting lineup tonight for the Bulls, and he led the way with team-highs of 24 points and 7 assists in a 102-91 home victory over the Detroit Pistons. Derrick got a lot help on the offensive end as Jimmy Butler sank 4/7 from behind the arc on the way... Read more »

Aaron Brooks dominates, Thibodeau coaches Bulls to loss

Aaron Brooks dominates, Thibodeau coaches Bulls to loss
Related Post – Taj Gibson needs to sit Aaron Brooks had his best game as a Bull, giving his new team game-highs of 26 points and 8 assists in 28 minutes, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Tom Thibodeau’s apathetic, stubborn coaching as the Bulls dropped a 106-101 decision to Boston in the United Center.... Mike Dunleavy, Jimmy Butler lead Bulls to ugly 118-115 win in Philly

Mike Dunleavy, Jimmy Butler lead Bulls to ugly 118-115 win in Philly
Mike Dunleavy scored a season-high 27 points in 31 minutes, as the Bulls survived three quarters of fairly bad basketball to slip past Philadelphia 118-115 Friday night. The Bulls won their fourth consecutive game in getting to 5-1 on the season, while the Sixers lost their sixth straight and remain winless. This was a win... Read more »

Jimmy Butler saves Bulls, hits two free throws with 0:00.2 left to beat Minnesota 106-105

Jimmy Butler saves Bulls, hits two free throws with 0:00.2 left to beat Minnesota 106-105
Jimmy Butler made his season debut after missing the Bulls’ first two games with a sprained thumb, and he didn’t waste any time making his very important presence felt. Butler led the Bulls with 24 points, and he calmly knocked the winning free throws with two-tenths of a second left after he slipped while making... Read more »

Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson help Bulls 2014-15 season begin with blowout win over Knicks

Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson help Bulls 2014-15 season begin with blowout win over Knicks
Pau Gasol had a Bulls debut that all the pessimistic, front-office hating Bulls fans certainly can’t be happy about, as his 21 points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes were a huge part of the Bulls’ 104-80 blowout win over the Knicks in the 2014-15 season opener at Madison Square Garden. While it was only... Read more »

    Bullsville

Don Ellis started covering sports professionally when he was 15. As a student assistant at Seeger High School in West Lebanon, IN, he was one of the first in the world to use, study and implement analytics in basketball. He attended Daytona State College and Ball State University, and some of his past credits include InsideHoops (NBA Runaround: The NBA According to Ellis) and ESPN Florida (The Florida Sports Reporters), where he was fortunate enough to work with many rising stars, including NFL Network's Dan Hellie, Redskins coach Jay Gruden, Magic radio and TV personality Dante Marchitelli, and WSB-TV (Atlanta) Sports Director Zach Klein. In addition to running the Bullsville blog and officiating basketball, baseball and football for the KHSAA, he is also a bass player and vocalist who writes and produces music in his spare time (you may remember his internet hit "I Hate Eddy Curry"). He's a 3rd-generation Cubs fan, a Bulls fan since the days of Van Lier and Sloan, and a life-long New England Patriots fan. He's seen Primus 9 times and thinks Les Claypool walks on water. By far his greatest accomplishment is being a father of three and grandfather of one.
