Greetings and Salutations!

Isn’t it fun to live in the city? Craft beers are awesome! There are fun events every night of the week! I have ten dollars until Friday, and it’s Sunday! Let’s cut the shit. Living in Chicago is fantastic, but with taxes, ever increasing CTA fare, and Gail Simone putting out two new comics this summer, the shoestrings just need to be tightened.

But being cheap does not mean living or looking cheap. Throughout my three years of living in Chicago as an improvising creative type (also a college drop out hailing from a rural-ish town in Wisconsin), I’ve learned a thing or two about making those dollars stretch without dying of boredom. Or scurvy.

In addition to highlighting fun, cheap events in the city, I’ll be reviewing movies, comic books, and literature that’s worth the most bang for your buck. Restaurants too. If you’re the type of person who can deal with two or three meals a day with no snacks in between, there is a PLETHORA of all you can eat sushi restaurant’s around, most of them BYOB.  The sweetest acronym in the English language.

But wait! There's more! Once a week, I'll try to give away something really great and not second hand, like movie tickets or rare comics! Free is free, so try not to feel picky. And lastly, thanks for coming by, I promise a GREAT ride!
