On this date twenty years ago, Johnny Thunders dies in a New Orleans hotel room under mysterious circumstances.  The Keith Richards-influenced guitarist for glam/punk legends New York Dolls and founder of the Heartbreakers (with Richard Hell) is thirty-eight.  Here is a vintage Dolls clip from the Whiskey:
