Today in Music History: Badfinger

On this date thirty-six years ago, Pete Ham of Badfinger commits suicide by hanging himself in his garage.  He is twenty-seven.  In addition to his great Badfinger work, he also co-wrote Nilsson’s number-one hit Without You with bandmate Tom Evans.  Here is a live version of Day After Day from ’72:
