Today in Music History: Temptations

On this date sixteen years ago, Temptations bass singer dies at age fifty-two of a brain seizure.  Otis Williams and Melvin were the only two Temptations that never left the group.  On this cool acapella version of the '70 hit, you can hear his deep voice intoning "And the band played on":
