James Franco and Anne Hathaway were like vanilla ice cream. Not great, but not bad either. At least it wasn't Generalisimo Franco and Mrs. Hathaway from the "Beverly Hillbillies."
By my count, Hathaway wore seven different outfits, some good, some not so great. Franco did have one of the best lines of the night (other than Melissa Leo's F-bomb.) With Hathaway clad in a faux tux, and Franco channeling Marilyn Monroe, he says, "I just got a text message from Charlie Sheen."
Scary moment, seeing Kirk Douglas trotted out on stage as if on loan from Madame Toussaud's. Even though he was clever, that's not how I want to remember him.
Hot, hot hot - Mila Kunis with the purple dress and the well placed lace.
Also Reese Witherspoon seemed to be homage to late sixties - early seventies Catherine Deneuve.
The only real surprise seemed to be in Best Director where Tom Hooper helped "The King's Speech" take three of the big four prizes.
Contest winner to be announced tomorrow as I'm off to the Chicago Poker Classic at the Horseshoe in Hammond.
