Song Of The Day - "I Trained Her To Love Me" by Nick Lowe

Over the last 40 years, "The Basher" has gone from pub rocking with Brinsley Schwarz and Rockpile, to producing classic records for Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Graham Parker and The Damned, to sending hits up the charts like "Cruel To Be Kind" and "I Knew The Bride (When She Used To Rock 'n' Roll)," to writing classics like "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace Love And Understanding" for Elvis Costello.  Through it all, he has never lost his keen sense of humor, turn of a lyrical phrase and soulful melodic twist...and they are all on display in this hilarious gem from his 2007 album "At My Age." These days, Lowe has become a soulful adult crooner...but his droll sense of humor always breaks through.
