Song Of The Day - "Andy's Chest" by Lou Reed

Song Of The Day - "Andy's Chest" by Lou Reed from the 1972 album "Transformer"

From the album that gave us classics like "Perfect Day," "Viscous" and, of course, "Walk On The Wild Side," comes the song "Andy Chest." Back in '72, Reed's career was in question...yes, he had one of the most influential bands of all time in his rear-view mirror (The Velvet Underground)...but his first solo record tanked in a big way. Enter David Bowie and Mick Ronson who produced, arranged and added a dose of glam-slam to this record.  It was also recorded at Trident Studios in England and not in the U.S. where Reed was used to recording. I'm assuming the Andy in question in this song is Andy Warhol, although the song's lyrics don't really point in that direction. Other than the aforementioned "Walk On The Wild Side" and David Bowie's homage "Andy Warhol," I wonder if there are any other Andy Warhol tribute songs out there...Swoop Swoop...Oh, Baby Rock Rock...
