Introducing: Song of the Day

No TV to discuss.  I chose to TiVo the Modern Family finale, and instead watched a DVD of "An Education."  David Schuster's review is right on the money. You should read it.  It's the only place where you'll see the movie's Carey Mulligan described as,  "a new comer to movies

who bursts on the entertainment scene much like Gordon Beckham did with the White Sox this past season. They don't give rookie of the year awards in the movies but if they did she would be a hands down winner. "

Still haven't gotten to the special features yet.  Tonight, sadly looking ahead at what will likely be the next to last episode of "Flash Forward."

Drum roll please.....

Instead, I'm pleased to introduce a new feature in which we salute old and introduce new music.  Today's we're looking a something fairly unknown, kind of like a glimpse at the minor leagues. This clip was suggested by my friend Tim S. from Charlotte, NC.  It is a band called Honorary Title, a Brooklyn-based quartet fronted by singer songwriter Jarrod Gorbel.

Below is their video for "Bridge and Tunnel"  The sound evokes New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" meets early U2. Some of their other songs remind me of The Violent Femmes. Please comment on selection below, or if you know of some hidden talent that deserves a shot at "The Show," talk it up.
