Sandy, the storm that brought the great city of New York to it's knees, is still wrecking havoc.
There are still some boroughs and outlying New Jersey areas still under water, and the homes left abandoned, have been pillaged and made even less inhabitable by looters.
It's the what can go wrong next syndrome, that these people are feeling.
The Katrina of the east, leaves us with the urge to help in any way we can.
I'm left with the old adage " There but for the grace of God go I ".
Some are still without electricity, can you imagine being without lights and heat since the storm hit on October 29 ?
With crews working night and day, surely in this day of technological wizardry something can be done to help.
To the powers that be, (pun definitely intended) please help restore some normalcy to our neighbors on the east coast.
My question to the pundits and editorial boards, why the shock and amazement at the stories of the powerful and influential being brought down by their most basic need, attention and adulation.
This has been happening since Samson and Delilah.
The "governmental groupies" are like any other groupies, and believe me they can be both men and women.
These name droppers are no better than the rock star and hip hop groupies, just maybe a little better dressed.
This will go on til the end of time, as long as there are powerful people and the ones who help feed into their delusions of infallibility.
Could I be a Judy groupie ? Well there are worst kinds to be.
Although, my earlier "Judyisms" help to clarify why I find the judge so funny and right on, these are among my favorites:
"They don't keep me here, because I'm beautiful".
"You have enough children, (to both men and women) get a hobby".
"Beauty fades, dumb is forever".
My abiding hope is even dumb can gain a little knowledge, with time and perseverance.
