A couple of weeks go I passed on some information about the "Sparkle Singing Challenge" that happened on July 14th. A lucky person from the Chicago area would get the chance to compete with others from all over the country for the national grand prize, which includes a trip to New York, an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park, a recording session with the Punch Monkey’s producer and writing team, and a Myspace homepage feature.
Great news! Chicago will be represented by 13 year-old Isaac Ray Roseborough! Isaac began singing in a children’s choir at the age of 4, and singing has been something he has always loved and has been doing ever since. He has recently been accepted to The Chicago High School of the Arts and will start his first year at the school in the fall of 2012.
He really "threw down" at the July 14th competition. Now it is time for us to get behind him. Voting began on July 25th and Wednesday, August 1st is the LAST DAY TO VOTE for Issac! You can vote as many times as you like (I've already voted 6 times!) It's easy. Each cities winning contestant’s videos are posted at

Come on Chicago and let's help Isaac win.
Don't forget to be in the theaters for the opening of the film "SPARKLE" on August 17th!
