Happy Monday, everyone! It started off as a beautifully sunny morning to help get me in the thankful spirit this week. This week can bring a multitude of different emotions on. Some of you may be thrilled to cook and discuss with your family all that you are grateful for. On the other hand some of you may be feeling the anxiety of seeing certain family members that stress you out, thinking about black friday shopping and how busy you will be after this weekend. On the bright side, for many people it's only a 3 day work week! Woo hoo!
Try to focus on all the positive things in your life you are grateful for. In the hustle and bustle it can be very easy to forget all the wonderful things occurring in our lives. If you're cooking and you feel like you won't get everything done in time, remember at the last moment every thing seems to fall into place. If you're the host, ask for help if you need it. If you're a lucky guest, offer to make something or bring wine to help the host/hostess of your dinner. The fun of the holiday is the yummy food, the people we spend it with and reflecting on all that we are thankful for.
To help get you in the spirit write down something you are grateful for every day through Thanksgiving. When you read it on Thanksgiving it will probably bring a smile to your face and remind you what the day is all about. Remember, positivity breeds positivity.
“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough”~Oprah Winfrey
