Motivation Monday: Get your, Yay, moment

Happy Monday! It's time for some motivation to get your week started in the right direction. After reading this I want you to start living the life you want now. Now, if you're miserable at your job I don't recommend just up and leaving without thinking it through. Think about the post, how it might pertain to you and live the rest of the day proactively.

Last week I had a conversation with someone close to me in my family. We we're sitting there eating started a brief but important conversation. It went like this:

Them~"What are you doing?"
Me~ "Thinking."
Them~ "About what?"
Me~ "My life."
Them~ "Thinking about it?! You're living it. This is your life."

It was a quick realization that I was "thinking" about my life. I immediately thought wow, what do I want to do (if anything) to change my life right now. Do I find joy in what my life is today? Is this where I want to be? The brief conversation brought me back to an active state instead of one where I was looking at things.

I will be the first person to admit that people should question things. We should relax, understand and figure out where we want to go in life. However, sometimes it is equally as important to remember to start "doing" instead of just thinking. Today is your life. Whatever you are doing right now or however you are feeling, this is your life. Are you happy today? Are you not?

If you don't like what your life looks like today, tomorrow or next week. Change it, today. Life is built up of days, 365 of them turn into a year. Build your life one day at a time. Be proactive. You are the only person that has the power to create the life you want.

I show you this picture because I this is my "yay" picture.  My genuine, super excited, happy picture.  Oprah has "Aha" moments and I have "yay" moments.  When I'm very excited about something I clap my hands just like this and say, "yay". For months, I lived every day of my life to hopefully get me to this moment (the night I won Miss Illinois USA). That doesn't mean every day getting there was easy, cause it wasn't. The point is everyone deserves to have "yay" moments. Live every day to have the life you want. Don't just think about it, do it. The possibilities are endless.

Happy Monday!  Have a fun and fit day, Chicago.
