Great tips to stay fit while at work

I came across an article that gives tips for individuals with 9-5 jobs (although, do those really exist? These days it seems more like 7-6 jobs).  I wanted to throw in my own tips as well:

1) Take the stairs instead of the elevator at your building

2) If it is possible,  walk to work (if you live in the city)

3) Bring a stability ball to work and switch it out with your chair to work on your core muscles.  Slowly transition the ball in by using it for a half hour in the morning and a half hour in the afternoon.  Once your body becomes accustomed to it, you can add more time with the ball.   4) If you are very tall and slouch to work on your computer, ask the
tech department to bring you something to raise your computer screen.
It will make a big difference for your posture. (I had a client of mine
do this and his work was very cooperative.  He also had noticed that it
was much easier for him to maintain good posture while working).

5) Take a 15 minute break in the afternoon and do some push-ups,
sit-ups, exercises with a band or small free weights.  If you are in a
cubicle I understand you might feel a little silly busting out exercise
in the middle of the office.  However, we'll see whose laughing when
you have abs and arms of steel by the end of the year.  haha

Here are some more tips from Lucy Danziger, SELF editor-in-chief.  All of these tips can help you stay healthy and fit during the work day.

Do you have anything special you like to do at work to stay healthy and fit?

Have a fun and fit day, Chicago.
