Is your brain aging prematurely?

It could be.

A recent study has found that obese individuals have severe brain degeneration.   Which means that one could lose cognitive function much earlier than they ever should.  Loss of brain mass could also lead, as the article states, to Alzheimer's disease.  We already know that obesity can lead to many more diseases.  However, this article shows how obesity may effect your brain.

This study was tremendously eye-opening to me.  I certainly do not want my brain to age any more than the rest of me.  And I hope that you don't either.  This is just another reason why physical activity should be an important part of your life.  Being physically active(and eating right) will help you maintain a healthy weight or get you to a healthy weight.

My goal is to help motivate you to live your best life.  I believe that when your body and mind are healthy you can do this.  I hope that some of the things I share with you will "Click" and inspire you to take great care of yourself.

Have a fun and fit day, Chicago.

  • This is interesting. I'm especially growing more interested with Alzheimer's after reading the latest Men's Health with an article exploring the possible link between cold sores and the disease. Cold sores and trans fat, two things I hate passionately.

It's amazing how connected everything is to one another. What I've learned from all these studies is take responsibility for your health and body. No one else is going to do it for you. Do it to the best of your abilities and you will improve your chances for a better quality of life years down the road. Thanks for reading and let me know if you come across anything like this again.
