GIVEAWAY: How about some underwear for Valentine's Day?

There are a lot of things that you can get on a  monthly subscription: coffee, fruit, magazines, but what about underwear?

Blacksocks.com is probably best known for their innovative 'sockscription' that let's busy men order top quality socks and have them delivered on a monthly.  Now they're doing the same thing with underwear.

**Check the end of this article to see how you can win some of  your own**

The Swiss company approached me late last year and asked if I'd be interested in trying out some of their new underwear - and of course who can't pass up free underwear so they sent me a pair for a test drive.

Every guy is different and everyone I've ever talked to has a reason for their preference in underwear and its one of those things that you can't really sway people on...if they like boxers you're not gonna get them to try on briefs.  So Blacksocks has you covered, they've got three different types: boxer shorts, briefs and boxer briefs - I asked for the Boxer Briefs, and I got a pair named Josephine.

Superbowl Commercial Roundup

user-pic
If you're like me and didn't watch the Superbowl, then you probably missed all of the good commercials...but then isn't that what the Internet is for?  As much as I enjoy Superbowl commercials, I can't bear to have to watch football in between them.

Gay blogger Joe.My.God has pulled some of the best from the web, so I thought I'd share them with you.

While you're at it, why don't you head on over to the Lavender Menance and check out her response to the Tim Tebow commercial by Focus on the Family.

The weather can't make up it's mind, it's warm then it's cold, it's slush then it's snow and then that pesky Punxsutawney Phil came out of his burrow earlier this week and had the audacity to tell us that there will be 6 more weeks of winter.....when did we start listening to groundhogs? The Super Bowl - EXPLAINED

Apparently there's some big sporting event going on Sunday evening - I know my roommate is all hopped up about it, but alas I didn't get the 'Gay Sports Gene' so I could care less about Football.

Although my roommate did try to explain it to me once, but I got confused as all the guys ran onto the field in those tight pants.

For the rest of you, who like me, don't understand Footbal, OutSports.com has created a most wonderful compendium explaining everything you need to know about the game. They include important things like, where it is, why it is and most importantly Fashion Notes (although i'll note that I didn't get that Gay Gene either).

And don't make the mistake that I made by saying that a certain team has "pretty colored uniforms" because apparently when you say that, suddenly they're "YOUR Team."

Get ready for a FABULOUS Weekend!

Valentine's Day Activity: Picket Holy Name Cathedral

user-pic
Pride Flag

Are you looking for something unique to do for Valentine's Day?  The Gay Liberation Network is organizing a picket at Holy Name Cathedral to bring attention to 'Freedom-to-Marry Day 2010' and that GLBT people are still not able to marry.

Here's the information from GLN:

In opposition to the desires of millions of lay Catholics for simple justice for all, the hierarchy of the Catholic Church has long aligned itself with, and often led, the forces of hate and bigotry opposing equal rights for gays and women.

At 10:30 AM on Freedom-to-Marry Day 2010 - Sunday, February 14, Valentine's Day - the Gay Liberation Network will host an informational picket of Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N. State Street, to highlight the role the Church's leadership has played in promoting inequality.
